September 6th - Catherina Finishes 32nd in World Championships |
|
Catherina Mullen ran well to finish in 32nd place in a field of 51 athletes in the junior women's race at the World Mountain Running Championships in Slovenia yesterday. When her result was combined with team mates Niamh Denny (29th) and Sinead Cronin (44th) Ireland finished in 14th place among the 17 countries taking part. This was a great result for Catherina who is a relative novice in mountain running terms. Streets of Monaghan 5k - Two Shercock runners finished among the medals in the annual Streets of Monaghan 5k road race on Friday. Noel Carroll finished in second place in the senior men's category, just one place ahead of clubmate Paul fitzpatrick. Both were happy with the result and are looking forward to the start of the crocc country season. |
